ABSTRACT

As the number one sporting goods retailer, DECATHLON always places its users at the heart of its strategies. More and more customers are demanding responsible products and looking for a sustainable way of life: organic food market, alternative mobility, students strikes for climate change. In order to help its users to move towards a more responsible consumption DECATHLON is collaborating with public and private organizations to develop and deploy an environmental labelling of its products.
By giving this power to its customers DECATHLON raised environmental impact to a top priority for all its Design & Offer teammates. Quentin will describe how this path leads to a new way of building our raw material policy.

Our current model of the supply chain has been designed to efficiently exploit the benefits of a linear economy. The world is not experiencing the limits of such model and its now time to upgrade for sustainability. This transformation should operate at every level of the company value chain to engage all possible actors.

Ronan will share examples on how the value chain of the number one sporting goods retailer, is continuously transforming to meet the needs of a more responsible generation of customers: focus on manufacturing processes.
